The Botanical Gardens of San Liberato cover an area surrounding the nucleus of the Church, the Villa, and rural buildings, for a total of 5 hectares. Following restoration of the little Church and the construction of the house in typical Roman style, the Count Donato Sanminiatelli and his consort Countess Contessa Maria Odescalchi entrusted the modelling of the landscape and the design of the garden to the great English landscape artist Russell Page.
